Why do atheists find it hard to believe in Bible?

You left out the really cool stuff - an ark held 2 of each animal, Jonah lived the in belly of a large fish (presumably a whale) for 3 days, dinosaurs lived with humans pre-flood, the entire universe revolves around Earth, a woman was impregnated by a spirit, I don't have all day to list further absurdities.
