If his first instinct after you said no was to say bye, then it sounds like that's all he's looking for. His reply just sounds like he's trying to get some later on once you know each other better. Currently your only reason (mentioned here) is that he is hot. I'd say that's not exactly a valid reason to be somebody's friend.
